1. Copyright & Footage Usage

1.1 Ownership & Usage Rights

Certified Drone Pilots Ltd retains full copyright ownership of all aerial footage and images captured during operations. Clients purchasing our services receive full usage rights for the exported footage but may not sell or redistribute the content without prior written agreement from Certified Drone Pilots Ltd.


1.2 Third-Party & Public Use

If footage is provided to a third party or used for social media, broadcast, or public displayCertified Drone Pilots Ltd must be credited appropriately for all relevant shots used.


1.3 Requesting Raw Footage

Clients requesting raw, unedited footage must submit their request to Certified Drone Pilots Ltd. If the footage is broadcasted or shared publicly, Certified Drone Pilots Ltd must be properly credited in the final production. Written approval is required for such use, and the client may not sell or redistribute the content without prior written consent from Certified Drone Pilots Ltd.


1.4 Internal & Stock Usage

Certified Drone Pilots Ltd reserves the right to:

  • Use footage for internal promotion and marketing purposes.
  • Supply footage to stock libraries, unless an exclusivity agreement is in place with the client.


2. Payment Terms

2.1 Pricing & Additional Costs

Pricing varies depending on factors such as shoot location, weather conditions, associated risks, and the need for additional Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approvals. Travel expenses are invoiced based on the site location(s) and the number of journeys required to capture the aerial footage. A detailed breakdown of visits will be included in the invoice, which is payable within 28 days.


2.2 Booking & Payments

  • A signed contract is required to secure the booking for the proposed date.
  • If no signed contract has been provided, but payment for the services has been made, it is understood that the client accepts and agrees to the terms of this policy.
  • The remaining balance, including travel expenses and any post-production requests, is due within 28 days.


2.3 Cancellations & Late Notice Charges

  • If the client cancels the service less than 48 hours before the shoot and does not reschedule, the full invoice amount remains due.


3. Postponements, Cancellations & Weather Conditions

3.1 Weather-Related Delays

Due to the unpredictable nature of weather conditions, Certified Drone Pilots Ltd provides flexibility when working with clients. If adverse weather (e.g., heavy rain, strong winds) prevents filming, the shoot will be rescheduled to a mutually agreed date.

3.2 Client Availability

If the client is unavailable during the scheduled timeframe but weather conditions allow for filming, Certified Drone Pilots Ltd will proceed with capturing aerial shots of the site and provide the footage along with a report.


4. Compliance & Safety

Certified Drone Pilots Ltd operates in full compliance with CAA regulations and all necessary flight approvals. Clients must ensure all required permissions for filming at specific locations are arranged before the shoot date.
